Communication System design and assessment has taken on new meaning and drastically changed the methods which major engineering firms are challenged to meet post 911 requirements. Society has identified that Communication means security. In our age, we see the rapid development of technologies, applications and rules of monitoring our infrastructure as means to provide security. The age of monitoring and control also has ethical implications and Big Brother concerns. Government funding for communication has created avenues of infrastructure development and ability to create interoperable systems among agencies. However, choice of technologies can be clouded by inexperience and dedication of engineers to status quo.

CSA Group is the only engineering firm in the United States that has engineered, developed information systems and managed a Statewide IP addressable Communication System and is involved with several of the nation's largest State communication programs. As prime consultants, CSA Group interfaces with the General Public, Local Politicians, Associations and Groups with interest in the programs and the variety of State Agencies who we serve as end users of the systems. We have achieved grade "A's" from Homeland Security in their reports to Congress.
