The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), in conjunction with state, local, and federal agencies is working to complete the Blue Line Extension, a 3.1-mile extension of the Blue Line of the Metrorail system. The extension is located in Prince George's County, Maryland and will be the first Metrorail line in the County to extend past the Beltway (I-495). The Largo Extension will begin east of the existing Addison Road Station and will connect two new passenger.
Construction of line, track work, and systems was awarded to Lane/Granite/Slattery Joint Venture. Ang Associates, Inc., of CSA Group, is electrical engineering/ signal installation subcontractor.
