One of the most extensive SEPTA projects currently underway is the construction of the new Frankford Transportation Center (FTC). The Frankford Terminal is SEPTA’s busiest transportation hub, with more than 50,00 daily riders on 15 bus routes, one trackless trolley route, and the Market-Frankford Subway/Elevated Line. The FTC will replace the nearly 80-year-old terminal with a state-of-the-art, inter-modal transit complex. This $180 million project is the final step in the Authority’s $650 million Frankford Elevated Reconstruction Project. The project includes a new guideway, part demolition of the existing Frankford garage, a new terminal building with a pedestrian bridge to the rehabilitated Bridge-Pratt Terminal a new multi-level parking garage with a pedestrian bridge to the new terminal , and other facilities.

Ang Associates, Inc. is responsible for:

  • design of street lighting;
  • design for overhead utilities relocation;
  • structural CAD drafting on the
  • guideway & other facilities,
  • design and drafting of pedestrian bridges;
  • design of four story 1000-car parking garage; and
  • traffic signal relocation

Ang Associates, Inc., of CSA Group, is sub-consultant to Philadelphia Transit Consultants on this project.
