The Power Plant included four Gas Turbines, each rated to generate 20 MW, which were operating as peaking units, when needed. In addition, there were two additional Brown Boveri gas turbines that were decommissioned several years ago and 1 damaged Jet Unit, which has also been decommissioned. As part of the scope of this project, there is a need for removing or demolishing some of the Plant existing facilities or buildings, in order to facilitate the replacement of the four operating Gas Turbines. The objective is to replace the existing units, without having to reduce the generating capacity currently available at the site, at anytime during project implementation.
