More generally, he will also work closely with the entire Executive Team on other company improvements, committees, and strategic growth elements. He will be working closely with Juan Melgarejo, CSA Group’s Senior VP of Business Development and Tom Lewis Senior VP of Utilities and Federal market, in implementing growth strategies aligned with our Strategic Plan.
He received both his bachelor’s degree in Engineering and master’s degree in Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. He has been recognized as a National Delegate for the National Society of Professional Engineers and as one of ENR’s Regional 20 Under 40.
Bob began his career at Boswell Engineering, a regional municipal engineering firm. From there, Bob moved to Louis Berger, now WSP, where he directed numerous complex infrastructure projects and led their Transportation Business Line in New Jersey. Bob has extensive experience working on rail, airport, and port projects. He managed the design for high-value Design/Build for P3 projects across the US, in states such as Texas, Georgia, California, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. At Berger, he spearheaded a variety of transportation projects, ranging from small county traffic signal improvements to large multi-modal endeavors like cargo access at JFK Airport in New York and PATH rail design in New Jersey. He has also worked on numerous highway and bridge projects. Most recently, he completed the preliminary design of $4 billion twin cable-stay bridges replacing the Newark Bay crossing of the NJ Turnpike between Newark Airport and the Holland Tunnel. He remarked, “most recently, I was the design manager for the preliminary design of twin cable-stay bridges replacing the New Jersey Turnpike’s Newark Bay Crossing adjacent to Newark International Airport.”
Bob is a Licensed Professional Engineer in 16 states and served as the President of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers for two years and a national delegate for three years.
The energy and sincerity of the CSA leadership drew Bob to our company. He has already made a significant impact and empowered our people to consider the bigger picture. And we look forward to him further sharing his vision for the Transportation division at CSA Group.
