CSA Highlights from the American Water Works Association New Jersey 2025 Conference

CSA Group proudly participated this year in the American Water Works Association New Jersey 2025 Annual Conference held at the beautiful Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ. Our Water Resources Subject Matter Experts, Samuel Rivera, Water Resources Engineer, and Hans X. Figueroa Sweet, Corporate Water & Resiliency Practice Leader presented invaluable insights on the “Value of Hydroinformatics Tools” during the Artificial Intelligence session.

1. Enhancing Design Processes: Samuel and Hans illustrated how hydroinformatics tools can significantly improve the design of district metered areas (DMAs) in water distribution networks, even when working with incomplete data.  

2. Adaptability is Key: They emphasized the need for customizable hydroinformatics solutions that address the unique complexities of different water systems, overcoming the limitations of existing tools.  

3. AI Integration: The presentation highlighted how advancements in AI and open-source software are revolutionizing the accessibility of the algorithms used in hydroinformatics, paving the way for more effective planning and management of water infrastructure.
