Social Commitment

This translates into active involvement in a variety of activities and organizations, which provide many opportunities for education and growth for our employees.

ACE mentoring program

We actively participate in the mentoring program of Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE), a nationally recognized organization that advises high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction. Our professionals contribute significantly – as role models, advisors and mentors – through our offices, where we sponsor summer internships for students who wish to have a future in the ACE industry. This program is an opportunity for students to participate in the daily work of architects and engineers, an excellent practical work experience for them. CSA inaugurated an ACE chapter in Puerto Rico and has established relationships with local universities to recruit students, contribute to their development and ensure that their education meets the requirements of the industry.


CSA is certified as a Corporate Plus Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). CSA Group is a member of The Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT), an association of chief executive officers of America’s leading design and construction companies responsible for billions in private and public section design and construction work. The Round Table strives to be a force for positive change working to improve the performance of the construction industry and actively representing the industry on public policy issues. CIRT’s forum develops strong management approaches through networking and peer interaction.

Rockefeller Foundation

CSA actively participated as a 100 Resilient Cities Platform Partner pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation. We committed significant resources to help three cities prepare for, withstand, and bounce back from the ‘shocks’ – catastrophic events like hurricanes, fires, and floods – and chronic ‘stresses’ – such as water shortages, homelessness, and unemployment – which are increasingly part of 21st century life.

Contributing to the communities

One of our purposes is to help the communities in which we live, so we have established a history with local charities in each of our offices. Our staff supports and participates in special events throughout the year. When disasters occur, as has happened in so many of our communities, our commitment is to offer support and assistance to those in need.
