CSA Group was contracted to provide the necessary technical assistance for preparing the required forms and documents. This assistance is needed for the hospital’s participation in the request for funds based on the 2018 Bipartisan Budget Act Section 20601 and Section 428 Public Assistance Alternatives Procedures, Guide for Permanent Work FEMA-4339-DR-PR. Ryder Memorial Hospital’s main building was constructed in the 1970s, adhering to the Construction Codes of that era. Additionally, there are older buildings on the site. The most recent construction on the project site was a two-story expansion in the 2000s. The hospital spans approximately 350,000 sq. ft. CSA performed the following tasks:
1. Identified the infrastructure damages incurred by Ryder as a direct result of the path of Hurricane Maria.
2. Identified the pre-existing damage to the infrastructure.
3. Identified components of the facility or system that were not damaged by Hurricane Maria, which were necessary for the full replacement or restoration of disaster-damaged components to industry standards.
4. Identified environmental conditions that required attention for resolution.
