New York City’s multi-billion-dollar effort continues for the construction of four new detention center facilities in the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. This will enable the closure of the City’s main jail on Rikers Island and provide a better life for the employees and convicts alike. It will also support smoother transitions back home to the non-convicted detainees and serve as a resource for the community. DDC and the AECOM-Hill JV Team have created four separate Design-Build management teams, one for each of the new borough-based center.

CSA continues to provide program management direction for leading support for Document Control Administration Platforms, Preparation of Performance Specifications and criteria for each Design-Build Project, Preparation of Room Data Sheets and Qualitative Functional Narrative Sheets, Preparation of Basis of Design Criteria for Architectural and Engineering Disciplines, Preparation of Spatial Test Fits for all proposed Borough-Based detention centers, Construction Management support for anticipated Design-Build projects until closeout of each of the new borough-based detention centers, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control services.
