Guayama Landslide Permanent Repairs to Roadways & Bridges

The Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works (PRDTPW) is carrying out the permanent repairs on multiple damages associated to Hurricanes Irma and María. The PRDTPW is focusing on the repairs in the Non-Federal Aid system targeting mostly Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and insurance company funds. Hence, the Projects will be funded by a combination of state, local, municipal, and federal funds, particularly the Public Assistance (PA) Program-FEMA, Non-Federal Match Program of the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CSA is performing all the tasks associated with the pre-construction activities and assisting the Department with the implementation of these projects. CSA’s scope includes tasks associated with the preparation of construction documents including plans, cost estimates, specifications and any other specified services for the repair or reconstruction of certain facilities owned by the DTPW, or under its jurisdiction, affected by Hurricane María. These facilities include roadways and bridges. The design efforts include the provision of A/E services during the pre-construction phase, supporting the PRDTPW in the versioning process, the procurement process, and providing services during the construction phase.
