Our Panama team recently made a donation to La Casita de Mausi Foundation, a place of refuge and support for people with cancer who live in remote areas while they receive medical treatment. During this visit, the team saw the great commitment, love, and dedication of this foundation for cancer patients from the Oncology Hospital, who do not have sufficient resources to pay for their treatments.
The place of respite offers patients a cozy environment, as if they were in their own home. Here they can experience nature and enjoy tranquil moments to soothe their minds and bodies. Our team donated essential items like paper products and soap dispensers, as well as a financial contribution.
The foundation must limit the number of people visiting La Casita to protect its patients and maintain optimal biosecurity measures. Therefore, only two members of the CSA team were attended, and expressed that it was a rewarding and humbling experience and committed to make more visits in the future.
